He says 14,000 cases of benzine and 100 drums of lubricating oil have been recovered. The ship is resting on a flat rock in two feet of water. She is practically undamaged but it will be impossible to Refloat her uritil the high tides about September, when she should come off with a little assistance, providing she suffers no serious damage in the interval.

She might have been towed off 1 after the stranding with the aid of* tugs but since then she lias moved farther on to the reef. Her Engines are iii perfect order and were utilised during salvaging operations. The vessel ha? been made -thoroughly secure hy means of stout hawsers.
