MANGATOKI NEWS
TENNIS. AGAINST RIVERLEA. Riverlea easily defeated Mangatoki on the local courts on Saturday, by 13 sets and 86 games to 3 sets and 41 games. The visitors proved a surprise packet and thoroughly deserved their success on the day’s play. Mangatoki should make a better showing in a return match, however, as many players were not available for Saturday. In the following details of the games the Riverlea names are mentioned first:—

The first of this season’s Red Cross instruction classes under Sister Ingles was attended by 20 members. The sister stated that the course would be practically the same as last year, but the tests would be harder. Mrs. A. E. Mahon was elected honorary secretary in place of Miss D. Nicholas, who is not available at present. Miss Brittain, Oakura, spent the week-end -with Mrs. A. E. Mahon. The Mangatoki Dairy Company will advance lOd per lb to suppliers this month.
