CHURCH OF ENGLAND

SOCIETY’ FORMED AT FITZROY. For the purpose of forming a branch of the Church of England Men’s Society a meeting was held in the parish hall, Fitzroy, last night. On the motion of the vicar (the Rev. W. S. C. Stephens), seconded by Mr. George Giddy (people’s warden), it was decided to form a branch. Mr. L. McLean consented to .act as secretary until the officers were appointed at the next meeting. Mr.- McLean explained the aims and objects of the society. The vicar pointed out that the society did not aim at a large number of members but desired to obtain only those who would really take the movement seriously. The purpose of the society was to put into practice Christian ideals' in combination with the natural, normal life.
