EARTHQUAKE RELIEF FUND

OVER £6ooo FROM NEW PLYMOUTH DONATIONS IN NORTH TARANAKI. The three earthquake relief funds in New Plymouth now amount to £6049. The Mayor’s fund stands at £2760 and the Red Cross and St. John Ambulance fund at £237. The sum of £59 4s has been received as a donation to the Mayor’s fund by the settlers of Awakino. Further cash donations would be welcomed as owing to the arrival of the refugees expenses are becoming heavier.
