Owing to the Eltham school picnic at Ngamotu Eltham bowlers took advantage of the special train and visited the West End Club. In an enjoyable game Eltham proved too good and won comfortably. The scores are as follow: W.E. E.

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP. E. BILLING WINS AT WEST END. During Tuesday and Wednesday the West End Club section winders, T. Petty, A. Bowie and E. Billing, played off to find the winner of the senior singles competition. The games were played on the two-life system, and after three games had been decided Billing had two lives and Petty one. In the final game Billing proved, too good for his club mate and won comfortably. The final score was: Billing 20, Petty 12. Billing will therefore try conclusions with other northern club champion- singles winners to-morrow. HILL WINS AT NEW PLYMOUTH. The championship of the New Plymouth Club was decided in a fine game between J. R. Hill and A. K. Smart. Hill won. There was very little between these two players and tue issue was in doubt until the last head was played. Smart was forced to drive with his last bowl for a possible two, but just failed to take the kitty clean.
