INTEREST IN SWIMMING. (From Our Own Correspondent.) As a resfilt of the “Learn.to Swim” week increased interest is being- taken in the healthful sport of swimming by the pupils of the Oakura school. Of the class of 20, five children learned to swim, eight were conscious of imy provement in their stroke, and . the whole clasfi gained increased confidence, the head teacher, as the weather permits. Practically every member of the clans was down at the swimming pool Further instruction is being given by during last week-end, practising witn erveat vigour and enthusiasm. o °
