SHOCKING HEAD INJURIES

ACCIDENT IN MOKOIA MILL CONTACT WITH CIRCULAR SAW. VICTIM IN SERIOUS CONDITION. ■Shocking head arid facial injuries were sustained by Harry Percy, a young single man, when he came into contact with one of the circular s,.ws at the Taranaki Timber Company's mill on Mr. C. J. Hawken’s Mokoia property shortly after lunch yesterday. Mr. Percy Was engaged in oiling some bearings below the level of one of the saws when he apparently lifted his head; the saw edge catphing him and inflicting frightful injuries to the right side of his chin and face. Dr. R. G. Sinclair was called out and the injured man was rjished to the Hawera hospital for an immediate operation. His condition was reported to be very serious last evening.
