Mr. Walter Ambury, Epsom, Auckland, is visiting New Plymouth. ‘Mr. W. Harris, general manager of the Radio Broadcasting Company of New Zealand, Ltd., was a visitor to New Plymouth yesterday. A former Clerk -of the Marlborough Provincial Council, Mr. John James Winsbury White, died at Blenheim, yesterday. He was a very old resident of the district.
Mr. E. H. Hollands, engineer and general manager of the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board, and Mrs. Hollands, were visitors to Opunake on Sunday. Motions of sympathy with Mr. H. W. Insull in the loss of his daughter and Mr. 0. H. Moore in the loss of his wife were recorded at the meeting of the New Plymouth High Schools Board last night. Mr. A. E. Higgins, formerly of Taranaki, is visiting New Plymouth. He is in charge of the Christchurch free ambulance which was sent over to the earthquake area and is now going to Auckland.
The death occurred on Friday night at the New Plymouth public hospital of Mrs. Anne Clara Robinson, wife of Mr. R. A. Robinson, at the age of 47 -years. The funeral took place this afternoon at the Waitara cemetery.
