RONGOTAI RECREATION GROUND.—Fifty acres of recrea tion ground will be made available at Rongotai, without interfering with the flying ground, when the work of sand leaving, shown in progress above, is finished. Over two hundred men are engaged on this light work. Some idea of the work may be gained from the picture. Large dunes have to be taken down and big basins filled. Rotton rock from Palmer Road will be spread over the whole to keep the sand quiet.
