OFFENDERS SENTENCED.

In the Supreme Court to-day John Aloysiliis Nally, aged 26, farm labourer, of Five Rivers, on a charge of indecent assault against a girl of 13 yeap, ,wa6 sentenced to one year's hard labour. Gordon Jenkins, aged 21, . on iltreh charges of breaking and entering and theft at Morton Mains and Edievale, was sentenced to two years’ reformative detention on each of the three chafges, the sentences to be concurrent. Thomas Newton Kitchener Somerville, on a charge of failing to iccouiit for money# to his employer, the British Traders’ Insurance Company, was sentenced to twelve months’ hard labour. David Adamson appeared for sentence on two charges of failing to account fpr £Sb and £55 respectively to his employer, Commonwealth Underwriter’,, Ltd. He was sentenced to nine moptlifi’ imprisonment -with hard labour. William McColl on a charge of breaking and entering and theft w as admitted to probation 'for two years. Peter Laughton, aged ID, charged with breaking and entering and theft, was sentenced to Borstal treatment for a period not exceeding' two years. Walter David Ashbrook, aged 19, charged with forgery, was admitted to probation for two years.
