COTTON DISPUTE SETTLED
MORE LOOMS EXPERIMENT ENDS.
REORGANISATION EXPECTED.
(British Wireless.)
Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, Feb. 14. The settlement of the cotton dispute by the withdrawal yesterday by the employers of the lockout and the discontinuance of the more looms experiment at Burnley has.-- caused relief, as the stoppage threatened to affect the prospects of the cotton trade section of the British Indusries Fair. The weavers have ended the Burnley strike, and work will be resumed in all mills on Friday. The hope is held that the peace will be used to establish better relations between employers and operatives and to reorganise the industry. The employers’ statement said that they were prepared to discuss with the operatives technical reorganisation when the proper atmosphere returned. They desired to see good feeling in tae industry and had every confidence that the operatives would respond.
