BANDS CONTEST POSTPONED
NO SUPPORT FORTHCOMING.

The bands contest is definitely postponed till next year, the replies to telegraphic messages having shown that the proposals to allow it to proceed have not met with the approval anticipated by those who so strongly urged it.
