BBITAIS SENDS NOTE ABROAD.

Rec. 5.5 p.m. London, Feb, 13. Britain has sent a note to France, Germany, Italy, Roland and Scandinavia requesting a 25 per cent, reduction of tariff on certain British-made goods, including textiles. The Baris correspondent of the Times states that the. British note been coldly received, the newspapers noting that no advantages arc offered in return for "the privilege of helping the reconstruction of British industry.” The prospects of a favourable reply are said t - be exceedingly remote,
