MARKETS STEADY TO FIRM BUTTER AS HIGH AS 120 s PER CWT. COLOURED CHEESE AT 55s TO 565. A rise of 2s to 3s in the price of butter and of 2s to 4s in the price of cheese since Thursday' is reported in the latest advice from the London dairy produce markets. Both butter and cheese appear to be firm at the higher prices. A premium of 2s per cwt. is evident on coloured cheese. Butter is quoted as high as 120 s with coloured cheese as high as 565. “The butter market is firm at Uos (Lios on Thursday) with an upward tendency. Prospects are good and a considered opinion is that factories selling f.o.b. now do so directly against their own interests. This cabled advice was received yesterday by Joseph Nathan and Co., Ltd., Hom Trengrouse and Nathan, Ltd. Cheese is steady, unchanged at 54s (52s on Thursd “New Zealand butter is 118 s to 120 s. Danish 150 s and New Zealand cheese is 53s to 54s,''' states the latest advice received by the Anglo-Continental Produce “The butter market is firm,” states a cablegram received by Newton King, Lta., yesterday morning from R. anl W Davidson, Ltd. “Butter is quoted at 116 s to 118 s (114 s to 116 s last Thursday). JVhite cheese is steady at 53s to 54s (ols to 525) and coloured cheese is firm at 55s to 56s (51s to 525).”
