WINNER OF THE WORLD’S LAND SPEED RECORD.—Captain Malcolm Campbell’s new racing car, Bluebird, in which he secured the world’s speed record at Daytona Beach, Florida, last Thursday, travelling at 245.73 miles per hour. The machine is of 1400 h.p., with twelve cylinders. The view shows the car from the front, with the cowling round the radiator to ensure a cooling air stream over the engine.
