CHAMPIONSHIP ABANDONED
DISPUTE AMONG BILLIARDISTS.
By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. London, January 29.
The Billiards Council has announced that as Willie Smith is the only entrant for the championship it will be abandoned, and there will be no holder of the title for the present season. The dearth of entries is due to a dispute among leading players regarding the kind of cloth to be used on championship tables.
