WIRELESS-CABLE MERGER
NEGOTIATIONS IN CANADA. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Montreal, Jan. 29. Sir Basil Blackett, chairman of Imperial and International Communications, Ltd., on the eve of his departure for New York, announced that progress had been made to bring about a merger between Canada’s overseas cables and wireless services. He expressed the hope that in due course satisfactory conclusions would be reached.
