TUG MAY SEARCH FOR YACHT
WINDWARD 23 DAYS OVERDUE.
WELLINGTON MEN PERTURBED.
By Telegraph.—Press Association.
Wellington, Last Night
It is probable that the tug Toia will be sent to search for the missing' yacht Windward, now 23 days out from Chatham Islands. Members of the Wellington Harbour Board this evening agreed that the Windward’s case appeared to be a desperate one and they gave authority to the chairman and general manager to make what arrangements they considered, necessary in conducting a search for the yacht. If it is considered necessary after consultation with the Marine Department the Toia will 'be scut. It was ■ also suggested that the Lyttelton-Wellington ferry steamers should be asked to follow a wider course in the hope of sighting the Windward. The steamer Tees- on the way out from the Chathams has been instructed .to keep a sharp look out.
