PARTIAL DESTRUCTION AT NAPIER

Napier, Jan. 16. A boardinghouse known as Beach House, Marine Parade, a single-storey building of 20 rooms, was partially destroyed by fire which originated in the back premises in the early hours of this morning. The brigade mad© an excellent save of the front section of the building, but the back part was practically destroyed. The building was owned by Mrs. M. Bott and occupied by Mrs. J. Hay. It was insured for £l5OO in the London Office. The contents were covered for £750 and £2OO in the Alliance Office.
