ADVISORY. COMMITTEE IN LONDON
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Daby Produce Export Board at its meeting to-day devoted considerable time to full discussion-upon the marketing problem in relation to dairy produce. Mr. W. A. lorrm presided over a full attendance. In respon.se to a request the boards London manager cabled making the suggestion, subject to the approval, of the board, that ah advisory committee- representing all London importers and also- the Dairy Produce Board, should be formed, such committee to meet regularly with a view to joint action being taken to deal with -special marketing conditions as, they. plight arise, and thoroughly to explore the possibility of obtaining wider distribution of New Zealand dairy produce by co-operation in publicity and making provision . or greater sales efforts in the northern area. Correspondence was before the board from the London manager outlining in detail the marketing problem as it is now presented in Great Britain, particularly between Danish and New Zealand butter. New Zealand butter, .it was stated, was most favourably known in London and the Southern Midlands, the Northern counties and Scotland. The psychological and economic factors governing the marketing position were fully outlined. The board resolved by 9 votes to 2 that the proposal for the formation of an advisory • committee embodying London importers and the board’s London manager should be adopted. The minoi - ity opposing the motion did so on. the ground that the action proposed was inadequate to the needs of the situation.
