CAUCUS OF UNITED SOUGHT
ALLEGED REVIVAL OF POLICY. FUTURE OF RAILWAY WORKS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Nelson, January 15. A meeting of the United Party caucus has been asked for to consider railway policy. Mr. G. 0. Black, member for Motueka; dispatched the following telegram to Mr. G. E. Munns, chief Government Whip: “As the recent public statement and two telegrams received by the Nelson Provincial Progress League from the Hon E. A. Ransom indicate a reversal of the railway construction policy of the United Party as enunciated at the last election, and as members of the party were not consulted before the decision was announced, I would be glad if you could arrange for a caucus to-be held as soon as possible after the return of the Hon. G. W. Forbes.”
