WAIRARAPA STUD RAM SALE.

Masterton, Last Night. Despite the backward season and the conditions ruling throughout the Dominion, sheep came forward in excellent condition and prices well _ above vendors’ expectations were realised at the Wairarapa sheep breeders’ thirteenth annual stud ram sale at the Solway showgrounds to-day. There was a full and representative attendance of buyeres, and though 68 per cent, of the offering was passed, the top lines , were well sought after. Mr. W. Perry received the top price of the sale for a splendidly conditioned and well-covered Romney purchased by Mr. 4. Kilpatrick (Gisborne) for 181 o-uineas. The next highest price was received by Mr. Q. Donald for a fine Romney purchased by the Elgar Estate (Featherston) for 131 guineas. Three other Romneys also realised three figures.
