Rec. 7.30 p.m. Brisbane, Jan. 14. West Indies defeated Queensland by 219 runs in the match which was completed to-day. West Indies required only 45 minutes to finish the match, the Queensland innings closing for 188. The Mossop-Goodwin partnership was worth 88 to the side, but the others gave little resistance. Thurlow hit a grand six off Scott. Gilbert, the Aboriginal, shaped well. West Indies were always brilliant in the field, particularly Constantine.
