The Progress is due at Dunedin today and will proceed to New Plymouth, where she is due on Monday, via Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington. (Hooker Bros.). The Kahika, from southern ports, left ' Nelson last night for New Plymouth, where she is due about 10 o’clock this morning with 800 tons. From New Plymouth she will proceed to Westport. (U.S.S. Co.) The Kartigi arrived at New Plymouth vesterday morning with 425 tons from Greymouth and returned last night to the same port. (U.S.S. Co.) The Totara is due at Dunedin to-day and will sail for New Plymouth, via Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington. (U.S.S. Co.) The Hauturu arrived at New Plymouth early yesterday afternoon with 120 tons of cargo from Onehunga. (Northern Co.) PAKEHA IN PORT. Direct from Gladstone, Queensland, the Shaw, Savill and Albion vessel Pakeha arrived at New Plymouth last night to load. 10,000 boxes of butter and 9000 crates of cheese to the agency of Newton King, Ltd. Her loading ports are New Plymouth, Wanganui, Lyttelton, Picton and Wellington. She is scheduled to clear Wellington for London, via Panama, on January 30. MIRRABOOKA IN FEBRUARY. Newton King, Ltd., advises that the new Swedish motor-vessel Morrabooka is scheduled to leave San Francisco on January 17. and Los Angeles on January 20 for Auckland, where she is due on February 10, Wellington on February 14 and New Plymouth on February 17. TAIROA WITH SLAG. A cargo of 1100 tons of slag will be brought to New Plymouth by the Tairoa, which left Antwerp on January 4for Auckland and New Plymouth. New ton King, Ltd., advises that the vessel is due at Auckland on February 10 and New Plymouth about a week later. NEW P. AND O. COLOURS. The P. and 0. Company’s two new 21,000-ton turbo-electric liners, which are now being built for the company’s Australian passenger service, will be distinctive from the existing vessels of the fleet not only in name but in appearance. The two new vessels —the Strathnaver and Strathaird—are to have buff funnels, white upper works, white hulls from rail to waterline, and red boottopping, as distinct from the usual black funnels; black hulls, and buff underworks.
