A representative! meeting of returned soldiers farming under the Discharged - Soldier Settlers’ Act was held to-day. It urged the Government to reduce the values of the land and buildings of farms settled under the Discharged Soldier Settlers’ Act, the new valuations to : based on the present prices bn the /average production for the last five /'years; that immediate relief be given to all those having amounts deducted .from'milk or other cheques, the matters to-be treated as.of extreme urgency. ' .The/resolution was forwarded to the acting-Prim© Minister, also' to the Returned Soldiers’ Association, Masterton, with the request that they co-operate.
