The lamb market, is steady. Owing to Christmas small interest is being displayed. Demand chiefly for poultry, beef, pork. Small shipment ex.Rangi- • tata of. new. season’s, lamb selling slowly, ibid, Ifd, .ex.'hooks. Mutton market: Wethers,, quiet with prices slightly.'easier. Trade slow. Ewes, steady at unaltered prices. Beef market: Trade slow owing to heavy arrivals of Argentine chilled beef. , New Zealand porker !pigs: Steady demand for light-weights. Poor demand for heavy-weights. New Zealand 1 baconer pigs: Nominal prices.
