The education committee of the Gias-, gow Corporation, including representatives of the Church >of Scotland and other denominations, unanimously . recommended the new syllabus of" religious teaching in Glasgow schools, which is the outcome of three years’ consultations. The syllabus omits the stories of Adam and Eve, of the Flood, and of Abraham and Isaac. The. teaching will portrhy Christ as the friend and saviour of mankind, but will retain the old idea of creation as told in Genesis.
