WEDDING

The wedding took place at St. Mary’s Church, Hawera,'. on June 24 of Ethel Nellie) eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Andresen, Waihi Road, Hawera, to Basil Linton, third son of Mr and Mrs. J. Bloor, Hawera. The ifev. J. R. Young performed the ceremony, and the music was played by Mr. H. Webb. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a whit© satin gown made to fit and reached the ankle at the back. The long embroidered veil which formed a train was held in place' with a wreath of orang© blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of white chrysantheiiiums and maiden hair fern with white satin ribbon streamers. White silk stockings* - and satin shoes completed the toilette. Miss Joan Andresen, sister of the bride, was the only bridesmaid. She wore a pale blue georgette mid:Victorian frock with blue satin shoes and stock-' ings and a blue ; felt hat turned back from the face. Miss Poppy Bloor, sister of th© bridegroom,-was train-bearer. She wore pale blue silk georgette made to reach the ankles. The dutch cap and shoes and stockings to match completed a ve/y pretty toilette. She carried a crook.

The bridegroom was attended by his brother. Mr. Hector Bloor as best man. After the ceremony the bride’s mother, attired in a smart navy frock with beige lace collar and vest and a brown hat, received her guests at'her residence. The honeymoon was spent in th© south, the bride travelling in a smart brown tweed costume and shoes and stockings to tone.
