■Wellington, Last Night. The weather will be cloudy and hazy mainly with scattered showers developing soon on the west coast of the South Island and about Fovcaux Strait. Temperatures will be mild. An anticyclone is still located over the Tasman. Sea, but is less intense. Pressure has fallen still further at the Chatham Islands and a fresh and extensive depression is now moving on to Tasmania. Winds will be south-westerly to westerly, moderate to fresh generally but strong at times about Fovcaux Strait and later becoming more westerly. There will be a considerable swell south of Castlepoint and the sea will be rough in Foveaux Strait, but other-’ wise smooth to moderate.
