CANADIANS PAY TRIBUTE WREATHS ON STATESMEN’S TOMI 6 FINE GESTURE FROM VANCOUVER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. “In memory of an honoured friend and fellow-citizen of the Empire,” a wreath was laid on the tomb of Mr. W. F. Massey.this morning by Mr. T. M. Henderson, of Vancouver, 8.C., retired wholesale drug merchants, who is making his third visit to New Zealand in the interests of his health. The wreath was laid on behalf of tile Canadian Club of Vancouver, of which-Mr. Henderson is a member. It is also intended that a similar wreath shall be placed on the grave of Sir Joseph Ward at the earliest opportunity. Mr. Massey was entertained by the Canadian Club when he was passing through Canada. “Not only are we honouring.the memory of these two statesmen in sending wreaths,’ ’said Mr. Henderson, “but we hope that it may Lj regarded ae a friendly gesture between sister Dominions and Will help . to strengthen further bonds of . After the ceremony the party descended into the mausoleum and a wreath was laid hear the casket.
