RED POSTCARDS

BAD FOR SORTERS’ EYES. ( . London, November 24. The Post Office authorities refused to deliver several thousand red postcards sent from a theatre to advertise a banned play. It is officially stated that the action had nothirig to do with the ban, but that it was taken because the colour was bad for the postmen’s eyes. “Red is very, embarrassing, and the sorting of thousands of red cards might easily cause eye-strain,” it was stated.
