CENTRAL SCHOOL FUNDS
HOME AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION. SOCIALS AND MART PROFITS. The mart held in aid of the Central Home and School Association, New Ply- j mouth, had shown a profit of £3O 7s, Mr. W. H. Huggett reported to the quarterly meeting, last night. Three social evenings had been held and over £2l profit had been realised. One of these functions had been-held in. aid of Miss M. Crawshaw and. £l5 would be devoted to the fund for her assistance. It was resolved that the ladies of the executive form the social committee, f while the affairs of.the association, would be in-the hands of the men of the executive. Messrs. Huggett and Sandford were appointed conveners of the committees. ;.. ■' • ' " . ■ The chairman, Mr. D. P. Evans, spoke of the impracticability of holding; a, school gala day this season, the new school not being open until next June or later. The discussion ■was. defeated until the March meeting. of the executive. t ‘ Mr. Evans,, who is. headmaster of -the school, thanked the Jadies. of the association fdr the work done during the year and for the increase.in fund’s. Mr. J. O. Turner replied on behalf ! of the association. ' A comprehensive vote of thanks concluded the evening. '. /
