£15,000 LEFT WAIROA LAD
UNCLE ASKS CHANGE OF NAME. TO RESIDE IN BEDFORDSHIRE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 11.47 p.m. London, Dec.. 2. A keen desire to. perpetuate the family name actuated the Rev. John Arthur Wright’s provisional bequest of £15,000 to a 15-year-old schoolboy, Matthew Npal Hall-Wright; Wairoa-, New Zealand, says the News-Chronicle. The testator, who is a Bedfordite, left the estate in trust with the remainder to Matthew if he assumes the name Leslie instead of Hall-Wright. The lad is the testator’s great-nephew, a son of Dr. Guy. Hall-Wright, Wairoa. The Rev. Wright christened his only son Leslie;' the latter pre-deceased him, as did his grandson, also named Leslie, who was killed in East Africa in wartime. ’■ ' ‘ ■
The testator further desired Matthew to enter Holy Orders and go to the oldworld village of Todington, Bedfordshire.
