BAD FEELING IN QUEENSLAND
KNIVES AND PISTOLS USED
MEN AND WOMEN INJURED
By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 11 p.m. Brisbane, Dec. 1. A serious clash occurred in the vicin-/ ity of Fully to-day between British and foreign nationals engaged in the sugar fields. Many were injured. The combatants were all cane-workers. Sticks, stones, bottles, knives and pistols were used.
George Norris has a wound 10 inches long in his chest. Harry Robertson has a knife stab in his back. An Italian has a bullet wound in hig leg, an Italian woman is.suffering from a wound in her head, and five other Italians have been treated in hospital for. cuts and abrasions.
The clash was the outcome of bad feeling due to the ever-increasing influx of foreigners.
