Six persons have been killed and scores injured in brush and forest fires which broke/ out to-day. Unestimated damage was caused on ■Saturday by a windstorm which swept Southern California. At times the wind reached a velocity of 85. miles an hour. Shipping ajid air services have been hampered and great damage has been done to the fruit crops.
