RUGBY PLAYING GROUNDS
HAWERA AND NEW PLYMOUTH. ■ Members of the Taranaki Rugby Union during’ the week-end inspected the new ground at Westown, New Plymouth, which the union recently pur- j-.gj chased. All the members were present p p with the exception of the treasurer, the Hon. R. Masters. Members were pressed with the location and possibili- ' p j ties fo the area. Two grounds will i;; be available.' It was decided to have plans and specifications prepared.'Meanwhile arrangements will be put in hand to fence and plant the boundaries. The committee discussed grounds for Hawera. South Taranaki members will .v--'-meet a committee from the Egmont A. and P. Association to discuss the nos-.’ p-! sibilities of securing permanent grounds at the showgrounds. The-whole com- ■ - mittee will visit Hawera at an early date. . ' ' '
