AUCKLAND TROTTING TO-DAY.
RAIN MAKES THE TRACK HEAVY. (By 'Wire—Special to News.) Auckland, Last Night. The Auckland Trotting Club’s meeting will conclude to-day at Epsom with another interesting programme. Some splendid racing was witnessed on Wednesday on a holding track. The outstanding performers -were Logan’s Pride, Royal Triumph, Linnett the Great, Gold Treasure and To Wahia, each of which hold good prospects again. Heavy overnight and morning rain settled the chances of the dry weather speed merchants Parrish Belle and Belle Axworthy. The following are expected to be well supported to-day when the track will .again bo holding:— Green Lane Trot: Royal Triumph, Marble Star. . . Newmarket Handicap: Kewpie’s Guy (if started), First Flight and Some Dillon. Alexandra Handicap: Logan’s Pride, Mountain Dell, Great Peter. Junction Handicap: Gold Dial, Trustworthy, Explosion. Hillsborough Trot: Linnett the Great, Etta Cole. Campbell Handicap: Ena wall, Hal Chimes (if reserved), Mountain Dell. Reniuera Handicap: Arachne, Gold Treasure. Insulation Handicap: Queen Elizabeth, Gang Awa’, Dan Direct.
