LEVY FOR UNEMPLOYMENT
REGISTRATIONS POURING IN. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Registrations under the Unemployment Act are still being received by the post office authorities. It was estimated that the number received within one day of the formal closing of the list was 440,000, but up to to-day a total of ever 480,000 had been recorded. Registrations have been pouring in from all over the country during the past week, contrary to the expectation that very few would be received after November IL The first instalment of the levy of 30s a year has already been paid by many.
