On a charge of failing to furnish the Commissioner of Taxes with a return o income earned during the year ended March 31, 1930, Harold J. M. Thomson was fined £2 with £1 Us <*> sts a the New Plvmouth Court yesterday, there was no' suggestion of trying to evade paying, said Mr. Grayling, who appeared for the Commissioner. , Victor Ken Mitchinson pleaded not guilty to driving a motor-car a ~° n | Brougham Street on November 9 at a speed greater than 15 miles per hour. Defendant' crossed Devon Street at a speed between 25 and 30 miles per hour, said Constable Mitchell. A fine of 10= (costs 18s) was imposed.
