CHILD STRUCK BY CAR
WAS RUNNING ACROSS STREET. CONDITION REPORTED CRITICAL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Serious injuries were received by a six-year-old boy Desmond Pickett when he was knocked down by a motor-car in Wellington Street, Freeman’s Bay, this evening. His condition at a late hour was critical. The boy was running across the road towards his home when the accident occurred. He suffered a fracture of the skull and a fracture of the left thigh. One head-light of the motor-car was bent by the impact.
