CHINESE CONSUL RETIRES

ALLEGED DISMISSAL DENIED. TRANSFER FROM AUSTRALIA. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rce. 1.30 a.m. Sydney, Nov. 13. Mr. F. T. Sung, who recently announced his retirement from the position of Consul-General for China here, stated to-day that he had been transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Nanking. He will be succeeded in Australia by Mr. Kixei Chih, formerly consul in New Zealand. Mr. Sung denies that he was dismissed for insubordination. He is being removed at his own request owing to his wife’s health’.
