The Board of Trade returns for October .show that imports decreased ■ by £19,377,000, exports decreased by £17,667,000, and re-exports decreased by £1,919,000, . • • The principal decreases in imports were grain and flour £4,123,000; food and drink (not dutiable) £854,000, ditto (dutiable) £1,516,000; wood and timber £1,326,000; 'raw cotton, £3,108,000; oil, seeds, etc,, £871,000; rubber, £l, 245,000. The principal decreases in exports were: Coal £811,000; iron and steel (and manufactures thereof) £1,707,000; cotton varh (and manufactures thereof) £4,225,000; woollen ditto £1,377,000; miscellaneous manufactured articles £1,369,000. ■
