Formal recognition by the Norwegian Government of the (Canadian title to the Arctic Islands Alexheiberg, Ellefringes, Amuneringnes and King Christion Island, known at the Severdrup Group, announced ' on Tuesday, 'removes one possible ground of dispute as to Canadian sovereignty in the whole of the Arctic sector north of the Canadian mainland.
