FKAISE FOR KtHGSFOKD SMITH. - By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Nov. 12. Interviewed on board the Razmak, Mr. ■I. W. Stannage, who was the radio operator on the Southern Cross during the Atlantic flight, paid a great tribute to Kingsford Smith as the “Daddy of the air.” ’. “Any more flights fixed yet?” asked the reporter. “Well, there is something in the air,” Mr. Stannage admitted, “but I cannot say any more than that at present.” “And you will be in it, I suppose?” “Like a shot, if the chance comes my way,” was the enthusiastic reply. Mr. Stannage says’ “Smithy” is a great fellow, and he would follow him anywhere. Mr. Stannage is looking forward to hard work with the Union Company.
