IMPRISONMENT FOR THEFT;
CHARGE NEARLY TWO YEARS OU>
By Telegraph.—Press Association* Blenheim, Last Night. James Henry Gartner, or James Gardner, appeared, on remand to-day to answer a charge 1 nearly two years old of theft. The information alleged that on December 17, 1928, at Tokaanu (Lako Taupo) he committed the theft of £2 in cash and a cheque drawn by Kapoor Bros, on the Bank of New South Wales for £6 18s 6d, the property of Herman George Bilderbeck. Accused also pleaded guilty to a charge thus at Otaki on August 11 he committed the theft of 10s, the property of Agnes Bowley. , Gartner was sentenced to six monws imprisonment on the first charge and three montlis on the second, the eentences to be concurrent.
