VICTORIA LEAGUE MEETING.

The executive committee.-of .the New Plymouth branch of. the Victoria League met on Monday. The bpolr committee reported having paired; and, forwarded three cases and six parcels containing 218 books, magazines afld papers. Letters of thanks were received from several recipients'.of books.-'/ The 'house committee reported that league members and their friends were enjoying the.fortnightly.floral arid musical teas in the club room. The West End Croquet Club and needlecraft circle ..were the. hostesses uuriug October. 'The Whakarato ' (girls'), branch is preparing gifts ,fqr, the league’s Christmas boxes. Junior associates are working on their gifts for distribution at Christmas. Their annual party was held last Saturday, when a very enjoyable afternoon was spent.
