. X MAGISTRATE IMPOSES FINES. A number of charges against motorists were heard by Mr. R. W. Tate, S.M., at New Plymouth yesterday. Nathan King, who said lie had had his car lights fixed immediately the police pointed out they were not alight, was fined 10s and 10s costs.

Stanley E. Nielson (Mr. A. G. Anderson) was fined 10s and costs 10s for driving a. car in Devon Street without a tail light. David Henry Griffiths was fined 10s. and costs 10s for driving in Devon j Street without proper lights. He said | his lights were in order.
