URENUI TENNIIS CLUB MELTING.

Mr. D. Des Forges presided over a fair of members and intending members at the annual meeting of the Urenui Tennis Club. The annual report and balance sheet, which were adopted without discussion, showed a credit of £7 13s Bd. Officers were elected as follows: President, Mr. George Loveridge; vicepresidents, eight were elected; secretary, Mr. E/Rogers; treasurer, Mr. D. Des- Forges; . executive committee, Messrs. G. Loveridge, (E. Rogers, D. Des Forges, J. Thompson, T. Zimmefmam, A, Wiley, R. Halcombe, W. Sheird, D. MsKenMe, W. Rattenbury and Ron Pigott; club captain, Mr. A. Halcombe; vice-captain, Mr. A. Wiley; selection committee, Miss Mabey, Messrs. R. Halcombo and A. Wiley; ladies committee, Mesdames W. Scott, G. Avery, L. Rattenlbury, G. Loveridge, E, Rogers and Miss'es I. Malbey, ’J. Smith, E. Gibson and A. ftatten'bury. . Mr. George Loveridge, the retiring secretary, had. tendered valuable hfelp. to the club during his four years of office and was accorded a hearty vote of? thanks. It was decided that ladder matches be 9 up, ladies’ .7 up, and no “vantage” games. . . The club would again be represented by a team in the Fergusson Cup competitions. It was decided to continue affiliation with the Taranaki Lawn Tennis Association. All actual members were appointed a works committee with. Mr. A. Wiley as chairman. Master J. Rattenlbury. was appointed caretaker. ■ It was decided to hold the opening day on Saturday, November 8, and to again hold a dance on Nfew Year’s Eve in conjunction with tile' Urehiii Seaside Society. New members were elected as follows Mrs. E. Rogers, Misses K. Zimmerman, Cruickshan'k, M. Elliot, J. Rowe, Messrs. G, Avery, B. Jonas, R. Jones, C. Bicheno, N. Dempster, M. Rogers, A. Halcombe and C. The highest herd average was 33.Slbs butterfat and the lowest 25.31b5. fat.
