Rec. 5.5 p.m. Sydney, Oct. 19. The extent and effects of the depression in the country districts were revealed at a meeting yesterday at Riverina of storekeepers, 31 of whom submitted outstanding accounts totalling £1,070,000, an average of £30,000 each.

The storekeepers are appealing to the Government for temporary relief as they declare they cannot bear the burden of financing* the fanners and glaziers any longer.
