SMITH FLIES A RECORD STAGE.

Flight-Lieut. Hill landed with a leaking petrol tank, but otherwise the flight from Karachi was uneventful. He expects to arrive at Akyab at daylight to-morrow and will proceed to Bangkok the same day. He anticipates with luck to complete the flight’to Australia in 12J days. Kingsford Smith has arrived at Bushire. He made a record flight from Aleppo to Bushire in one hop. This has never hitherto been done.
